In this 312th episode I welcome Drs. Franklin Cladis, Meredith Kingeter and Bridget Marroquin to the show to discuss the Society for Education in Anesthesia (SEA). We discuss how it has been an important part of our careers and how it has a lot to offer to anyone interested in anesthesiology education.
Doctoral CRNA students AJ Hustedde and Marc Petrykowski have developed a set of patent-pending, 3D-printed video laryngoscope blades and airway tools designed to improve anesthesia safety in low-resource settings. Their current efforts are focused on Cameroon, where a lack of airway equipment has resulted in preventable patient harm. They’re fundraising to continue production, deliver equipment, and train local providers on sustainable use.
