The common party drug that causes MetHb is amyl nitrate, aka poppers, which is apparently popular in the gay community.
Whippers aka Nitrous Oxide, does not to my knowledge cause MetHb, although it is now a very popular party drug amongst adolescents intent on destroying their dorsal columns.
Nitric oxide can cause MetHb, but there aren’t many party goers inhaling that I hope.
RIP Dr Isaac
Thanks Sean!
