In this 165th episode I welcome Drs. Scott and Cereda from University of Pennsylvania and Dr. Nacoti from Italy to talk about COVID-19, what it is, what we know about it, what it’s like on the ground in Italy right now, and what we can learn from their experience to try to prevent it from happening here.

  1. Just wondering if anyone could share what their recommendations are for testing health care professionals who had known direct contact with COVID positive patients. Our institution is currently staying you can continue to work without being tested until you develop symptoms. Are other places doing this?

    1. I think it depends on how many tests an institution has, and how fast they can run them, but I’d be interested to hear if people want to share their experience or other thoughts.

  2. This was by far one of the best podcasts. Dr. Nacoti describing the situation in Italy left me in tears when I first listened to it.
